Use the CSV file
Log into your WordPress Admin Dashboard
Navigate to your-site.com/wp-admin
Go to Tools → Export
Find this in your WordPress admin sidebar
Select what to export
Choose "Posts only" for the cleanest conversion
Click "Download Export File"
This will download an XML file to your computer
💡 Pro Tip
The export file will be named something like "yoursite.wordpress.2024-01-15.xml" and contains all your posts, pages, comments, and media information.
Go back to the main page
Drag and drop your XML file
Or click the upload area to browse for your file
Click "Process File"
The conversion process will begin automatically
Download your CSV file
Once processing is complete, download the converted file

Open your Framer project
Navigate to your Framer site where you want to import content
Go to CMS Collections
Access the CMS panel in your Framer project
Create or select a collection
Create a new "Blog Posts" collection or use an existing one
Import the CSV file
Use Framer's import feature to upload your converted CSV
Map the fields
Match CSV columns to your CMS collection fields

File not uploading?
Make sure your file is a valid XML file with the .xml extension
Processing taking too long?
Large WordPress exports (1000+ posts) may take a few minutes to process
Missing content in CSV?
Some WordPress content types might not be supported. The converter focuses on posts and pages.
Images not displaying in Framer?
Image URLs are preserved from your WordPress site. Make sure your original site is still accessible or migrate images separately.
